After much panic and some planning, the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) were introduced across Europe and incorporated into the 2018 UK Data Protection Act in the UK, along with other data protection matters.

At the end of January 2020, the UK left the EU and entered a transition period. During this time, our regulatory framework remained the same, but there are still questions about what happens now, especially in relation to international transfers.

Here’s our training programme for data protection leaders. Please note we have a complementary programme for other personnel. This programme is based around the themes and principles of the GDPR as applied within the 2018 UK Data Protection Act.

To get the most from this course you will need to allow time to complete the activities and to reflect on your own practice, but it is divided into sections so that you can complete it in a number of sessions.

We advise you to complete each section at one sitting to maximise your learning, but allowing time between study sessions may enhance your learning by allowing additional time for reflection on both your learning and your current practices.

At the end, there is an online test, successful completion of which will enable you to get a certificate to provide evidence of your learning. You should be able to demonstrate what you learnt going forward in changes to your behaviours.
